About

Welcome to eStayAtHomeDad.com ,

I’m Carl “DiMOOSE” the eStayAtHomeDad.

My wife Gia and I are homeschool parents to our two children Carle and Louis. We live in Southern Maryland between the Potomac and Patuxent Rivers. Gia is a career mom who does part time real estate and sells goods on Poshmark and Mercari.

I’m the owner of eStayAtHomeDad.com and have worn many hats in my time.  I’ve worked in retail, construction, been a U.S. airman, a park ranger, a newspaper distributor and a part time rigging apprentice who has installed hundreds of Automated Teller Machines.

I have varied interests from hiking and camping, to studying Biblical economics, ethics, and also have a love for gardening and outdoor projects.

I started this site to be a source of information and experiential wisdom for fathers who are primary care givers and homeschool dads.  My hope is more fathers will take on the role of primary teacher and mentor.  I believe the encouragement and shared experience, on this site, will be helpful to dads who may be considering such roles.

I believe we have a Biblical Mandate in Proverbs 2:26 to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
As homeschool fathers at eStayAtHomeDad, we can not only meet the challenge of this Biblical mandate, but share the instruction, projects and mentoring ideas we pass along to our children on our forums.  It’s won’t be easy, and there will be many challenges, but with safety in numbers and council, we can all benefit and perhaps limit mistakes.

There aren’t many homeschool dads, but I think there will be more. The responsibilities of homeschooling and of primary care giving can be daunting if you’re new to it. I believe we can be a source of confidence, encouragement and serve as an example to dads, who are searching for ideas and council, from men who’ve been through it.

As dads who take full responsibility for our homes, our mentorship can be the start of change necessary to fix some of our societal problems.  We can have an enduring legacy through our children.

I hope you’ll join me on the site, and become a participant in this goal.

Sincerely,

Carl “DiMOOSE”
